Play Live
Play Live is an exciting local band competition with an amazing prize of performing on the big stage at Spirit of Tring in front of thousands! We started the competition last year and had a great response. 4 winning bands had the opportunity to play on the stage, opening the 2011 show.
This competition is open to bands and singers living in and around the Tring area including Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Wendover and all the surrounding towns and villages.
The deadline for submissions is Friday 13th April 2012
HOW TO ENTER
1. Download the below form and send it by post or email to:

2. Please include a link to music by your band (on MySpace, YouTube, etc) with your email OR you can send a CD/DVD/USB with your music on to the above address
3. Please include a photo of you/your band with your email, or on CD/DVD/USB

Bands in different age categories will be shortlisted and you will be notified if you are a finalist by 23rd April 2012. Up to 10 bands will be shortlisted in each category based on your sample music and entry form.
The age categories are: Under 15 years old, 15-25 years old and Over 25 years old. The category you sit in will be determined by the oldest band member.
You will then be invited to perform one song at the live judging nights at the Court Theatre in Tring.
Live judging will take place on 8th, 9th and 10th May 2012 - we will let you know which night if you are shortlisted.
If you are lucky enough to be shortlisted we will give you more details on timings and the kit you will need for the live judging nearer the time.
The judges will select winning bands from each category and their decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Your family and friends are invited to come along and support at the live judging.
The winning bands will be awarded with the prize of opening the Spirit of Tring 2012 on Saturday 2nd June.
We would like to visit each winner prior to the event to hear one rehearsal and go through all the show details.
You will need to be available to sound check on the morning of 2/5/12 prior to performing at around 5pm.
